Genuine handforged axe inspired and re-envisioned in shape, form and decoration from historical artifacts used by the Nordic people. Simple engravings decorating the axe handle and thick pommel-like handle end piece to prevent slipping were often found on axes of past & present. This is a fully functional axe model, designed for both stunning display and efficient use as an axe.

The Viking throwing axe is alike to a tomahawk used in other parts of the world. While retaining the highly desirable qualities of an axe for the Viking lifestyle, these axe variants were designed towards being a weapon more than the usual axe. With a large spike at the back, these axes were much deadlier when thrown or swung backwards. Unfortunately, these axes were more of a rarity in Norse culture, as successful and seasoned warriors would prefer to procure a sword as their weapon of choice when they had an opportunity or means to afford one over a better axe.
