This genuine 925 Sterling Silver Handcrafted Helm of Awe amulet is crafted with a runic circle, traditionally referred to as "the Wheel of the World." The Elder Futhark alphabet is inscribed within the circle, believed by some ancient texts to have mystical properties. This double sided amulet will adorn you with both endurance and style during long journeys.
The Helm of Awe, also known as Aegishjalmur or Viking Compass, is a mysterious and powerful symbol in Norse mythology. Described in one of the poems in the Poetic Edda, this symbol was worn by the terrifying guardian dragon of cursed treasure known as Fafnir. In the poem, much of Fafnir’s strength and invincibility is attributed to this symbol worn between his brows, and many Norse warriors would follow in his stead wearing this symbol to grant them the dragon’s ferocity. In addition to the legend, each arm of the Helm of Awe resembles the Old Norse Z rune, which symbolized protection and victory in battle.

This pendant is beautifully crafted and quite gorgeous. It has just the right weight to it (light enough to be comfortable to wear but heavy enough to be of comforting quality). I would have given it 5-stars but the fastener on the cord it came on (not leather) broke for no good reason. Suggest planning to use your own chain or leather strap.

Great product, decent shipping times to Aus. Only thing I could of to make my pendant better would be to have stoppers to stop the pendant slinging on the cord. Cheers

It is always a bit of a gamble when one orders jewelry online without seeing it. Quite often something looks good on a picture and not so good in reality. This is not the case with my purchase from Norsegarde. The Handcrafted Runic Helm of Awe Amulet is beautifully made and looks great. All small details are carefully crafted. It is double sided as well. I really love it and I also like the fact that it was handmade by an artist after my purchase. It is not mass production and the chance someone around to have the same is not big at all.

Really good quality but the chain on the back of the paracord is quite weak and broke whilst i was having sex, it still works but with some issues, maybe try to get a new paracord but is definitely worth buying, would recommend
