Genuine handcrafted 925 Sterling Silver signet ring with a sun wheel, also known as the spinning wheel, engraved on the face of the ring and Mammen art style engravings on the sides of the ring. Mammen art was first discovered on a decorated axe head found amonst buried belongings of a nobleman belonging to the House of Gorm, also known as the House of Denmark. This ring is smoothly polished on the inside for comfortable wear, and comes in a variety of sizes. This variation of the sun wheel was often used by the Alemanni and Bavarian people around the year 400 AD, and was commonly found depicted on brooches and decorations with number of spokes varying between 5 to 13. Presumably the symbol traveled to the Germanic region from Italy, where first depictions of such sun wheel were found on jewelry pieces dated 700-800 BC.
