Genuine handforged two-handed axe designed in shape, form and decoration to resemble popular culture iconic Viking two-handed axes. Simple double edge axe head and anti-slip leather grips on the handle to prevent slipping were often found on axes of past & present. This is a fully functional axe model designed mostly for stunning display; however, it can still see efficient use as an axe if sharpened.

Contrary to the popular beliefs, two handed axes were not as commonplace among Viking warriors and were more of a rarity. Successful and seasoned warriors would prefer to procure a sword as their weapon of choice when they had an opportunity or means to afford one, however several two-handed axe variations were found among historical artifacts. These monstrous axes were made primarily to be weapons of war, and were not as useful in the day-to-day life of a naval warrior. Coupled with costliness, these iconic weapons were quite rare in the Viking arsenal.
