Genuine handcrafted 925 Sterling Silver signet ring with sun wheel, also known as the spinning wheel, engraved on the face of the ring and Urnes style engravings on each side. Urnes style art was the last phase of Viking art found on Scandinavian architecture and art carvings. This ring is smoothly polished on the inside for comfortable wear, and comes in a variety of sizes. This variation of the sun wheel was often used by the Alemanni and Bavarian people around the year 400 AD, and was commonly found depicted on brooches and decorations with number of spokes varying between 5 to 13. Presumably the symbol traveled to the Germanic region from Italy, where first depictions of such sun wheel were found on jewelry pieces dated 700-800 BC.
