Genuine handcrafted 925 Sterling Silver ring in a shape of a bent Viking battleaxe. Etched along the handle of the axe, on the bend of the ring, are the Elder Norse runes that were considered to have magical properties and give protection to the wearer. The head of the axe is decorated with Celtic knots that were considered to be lucky and Helm of Awe runes that were thought to give strength and protection in battle. This ring is smoothly polished on the inside for comfortable wear, and comes in a variety of sizes. An axe was every Viking’s trusty tool and often a reliable weapon of choice. When it came to managing and repairing their ships, longboats, made in their entirety of wood, axes were a must have for every one of those ancient naval warriors. When on land, axes were used to fell trees for fires, building basic defenses, or ship repairs. Versatile for the Viking lifestyle, this weapon and tool was always on hand while on a journey, ready to be used for both felling trees and foes alike.
