I'm looking to buy my husband a chain for his 50th birthday. So yip it's a big one. He is looking for a black chain. I can seem to find the right material. Ruthenium Plated Sterling Silver on this photo seems dark almost black. Is this the case? You jewelry is beautiful.

Hi Meagan, that is correct - ruthenium-plated sterling silver has a dark, almost black finish, while still retaining a metallic shine. Please note that it is a plating, and although ruthenium plating is very robust and long-lasting, the sterling silver underneath may begin to show over time if the piece gets scratched or experiences extensive wear.
